ANCIENT THEMES. Divus Augustus. Died AD 14. Æ "Sestertius" (31mm, 22.92 g, 6h). After Giovanni da Cavino (1500-1570). DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER, laureate head left / Six Vestal Virgins sacrificing before the Temple of Vesta; S C in exergue. Cf. Johnson & Martini 1268-86/1729-41 (for obv. of Divus Augustus/rev. of Faustina Junior). Rich brown patina with some green color. EF. A rare and unusual combination of a Divus Augustus obverse with a reverse usually seen for Faustina Junior.
