This year nearly 1.3 Million Double Eagles have been minted in San Francisco, 5,000 in Carson City and only 1,442 in Philadelphia.
The elusive 1891 is rare in all grades. It is considered that only 100 survive. Population of PCGS & NGC together is 54 pieces only in AU or finer with a highest grade in MS-62.
Not more than 45 - 50 (including this one) different 1891 in AU can be accounted.
