Philistia (Palestine), uncertain mint AR Drachm. Imitating Athens, circa 400-333 BC. Head of Athena to right wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette; Aramaic letter Heth on cheek / Winged Sphinx-like animal with bearded and crowned human head to right with raised forepaw; all within dotted border in shallow incuse square. Unpublished in the standard references. For a similar type cf. CNG MBS 76, 2007, 824; for obverse letter cf. Svoronos pl. 109, 34 and Baldwin's of St James's sale 41, 2020, 11; for reverse type cf.
