Maximilian gold 20 Pesos 1866-Mo UNC Details (Obverse Scratched) NGC, Mexico City mint, KM389, Fr-62. From a total mintage of only 8,274. A fleeting issue from the short-lived imperial reign of Maximilian I, struck only a year before his execution in 1867. Bearing a series of shallow scratches in the obverse fields surrounding the bust; nonetheless, quite attractive, with near-Prooflike reflectivity due to an early strike from recently polished dies.
