CYPRUS, provincial issue as Koinon of Cyprus, Geta (209-211 A.D.), AE 31 (18.63 g), issued as Caesar 198-209, obv. laureate bearded head right, around AVTO KAICO CE **PTIMIO*C **G*ETAC around, rev. around KOINON KY**PRIW*N, within the Temple of Aphrodite at Palaipaphos, containing a conical xoanon, candelabra in side chambers, surmounted by doves, semicircular courtyard before temple, (S.-, Parks 26 fig, 56, SNG Cop. -, BMC -). Fine weak in places and very rare, an important historical coin.

Only four examples noted in Coin Archives a corroded example in Kunker Sale 257, 10 October 2014 (lot 9045) realised 2800 Euros, others in 2008 (CNG and Jean Elsen) realised $400 and 675 Euros.
