(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 50 Cash, ND (ca. March 1854-July 1855). Board of Revenue Mint, eastern branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Certified "80" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.705. Weight: 42.5 gms. Fou bao, six stroke bei. "Xian Feng zhong bao"; Reverse: "Dang wushi". This decently preserved somewhat crude survivor exhibits bold characters in high relief with uneven fields and minor edge bumps. The natural surface texture and high points show signs of handling from circulation somewhat smoothing the roughness in the open areas coupled with minor earthen deposits adding much originality.
