(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 50 Cash, ND (ca. November 1853-March 1854). Board of Works Mint, new branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Certified "82" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.760; FD-2443. Weight: 36.1 gms. Fou bao. "Xian Feng zhong bao"; Reverse: "Dang wushi". This lovely example displays attractive light brown patina on the high points with a richer brown coloration in the open areas and minor evidence of earthen deposits amongst the devices offering a pleasing appearance. The natural rough surfaces do shows signs of tasteful smoothing, as is commonly encountered on these large issues, from long ago now toned over and attractive. The rims and edges are smooth with only a couple of small minor edge bruises mentioned for accuracy, but are hardly distracting.

Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
