(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Fujian. 20 Cash, ND (ca. 1853-55). Fuzhou Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Certified "Authentic" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.781; FD-2517. Weight: 35.4 gms. One dot tong. "Xian Feng tong bao"; Reverse: "Er shi". This decently preserved, yet somewhat crude, example with muddled calligraphy displays rich chocolate brown patina with minor earthen deposits and encrustation in the protected areas and rims offering much originality and is quite pleasing to the eye. A couple of natural casting voids are noticed near the edge of the rim mentioned for accuracy, but hardly distracting.
