(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Gansu. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1854-57). Gongchang Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded "Authentic" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.809; FD-2540. Weight: 45.3 gms. Er bao, curved gung. "Xian Feng yuan bao"; Reverse: "Dang bai". This charming and nicely preserved example with smooth high points and rough open fields displays attractive rich brassy patina with richer coloration in the open areas and minor earthen deposits amongst the devices adding much originality. The edge at 6 on the obverse does exhibit what appears to be a natural casting flaw as well as other insignificant bruising mentioned for accuracy. Quite the pleasing piece of this large-size issue with a good look certain to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $600.00- $800.00
