(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Jiangsu. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1854-55). Suzhou or other local Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Certified "Authentic" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.914. Weight: 58.3 gms. Fou bao, six stroke bei, left stroke of bao protrudes, hook stroke in Xian. "Xian Feng zhong bao"; Reverse: "Dang bai". This lovely high grade survivor exhibits well-formed high relief calligraphy with good definition, naturally rough surface texture in the fields and wide rims that display much evidence of the finishing process. Upon further inspection small minor unobtrusive casting voids are noticed on the rims and few characters mentioned for accuracy, but are hardly a distraction. The attractive rich brassy patina gives this piece a pleasant look worthy of a serious consideration from the specialist.

Estimate: $700.00- $900.00
