(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Jiangxi. 50 Cash, ND (ca. 1855-60). Nanchang Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Certified "85" by CCG Grading Company.
Hartill-22.931; FD-2506; S-1590. Weight: 39.0 gms. Broad rims. "Xian Feng zhong bao"; Reverse: "Dang wushi". This decently preserved example displays mottled brassy patination with areas of richer color in the open fields somewhat accentuating the high relief calligraphy, each with clear well-defined strokes. The rims and edges are mostly intact save for a couple of minor edge bruises, though the reverse boarder shows a few abrasions that do not appear to be part of the finishing process.
