(t) CHINA. Sichuan Piaoding. Provincial Certified Ingots. Silver 9.25 Tael Local Tax Ingot, ND (ca. 1875-1908). Emperor Guangxu (De Zong). Graded: "AU" by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
BMC-Class XL Group C. Weight: 329.5 gms. "Guang Xu nian quan xing long" (Guangxu era, Smith: Quanxinglong). This decently preserved example displays attractive rich mottled cabinet patina with an iridescent sheen that pops out when tilted in the light. The stamp is evenly applied with fairly good definition of the characters, though a bit shallow. Upon close inspection light smoothing from long ago is noticed on the surface of the face, now since toned over matching the rest of the ingot. Despite its shortcomings this survivor is quite wholesome and attractive sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $900.00- $1200.00
