(t) CHINA. Yunnan Yuansi Changyuankezi. Fine Silk Oval Ingots. Silver 2 Tael Ingot, ND. Graded MS 62+ by GBCA Grading Company.
BMC-Class LXXXV. Weight: 76.5 gms. Obverse: "Wang Yuan Liang"; Reverse: "Feng" raised. A bright and lustrous example displaying light attractive mottled patina with a fairly well applied stamp and a nearly complete character on the reverse, though the characters on the obverse are slightly hidden by the patination. A type the seldom appears on the market sure to pique the interest of many collectors.

Interesting to note that the reverse exhibits the raised character "Jing", this could only occur if the surface in which the silversmith or merchant who applied this stamp used a mould of some sort to place the ingot on so when the obverse stamp was applied metal would be pushed down into the surface in which is sat.

Estimate: $700.00- $1000.00
