(t) CHINA. Kiangnan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1904). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details Gold Shield.
L&M-257; K-99; KM-Y-145a.12. "HAH" and "CH" without dots under "Chia" and "Chen". Fewer spines on dragon. This decently struck and nicely preserved survivor exhibits bold central design elements while the legends show a bit of weakness near the edges as commonly encountered on these issues. Upon close inspection the obverse shows evidence of an old light cleaning as indicated on the PCGS insert, long since toned over matching the rest of the coin. Despite its shortcoming this handsome example is quite pleasing to the eye sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
