China, People’s Republic 1949 P-852a PMG Choice About UNC 58 EPQ 5000 Yuan
Fully original, from an old-time collection put together in the United States. Centerfold is noted but does not distract from this note's originality. First series PRC in original condition is becoming increasingly difficult to find and notes with EPQ designation continue to sell for higher prices each year. 5000 Yuan represented a large sum of money in China in the late 1940s and early 1950s and it's a miracle this note managed to survive in this condition.
