A beautiful Gandharan stone bust from the Indus Valley, ca. 3rd - 4th Century A.D. This choice fragment is 2-3/8 inches high and is carved from the blue-gray schist characteristic of the region. It depicts a man wearing a beautifully draped garment. Strong remnants of red pigment. Ex private Los Angeles, CA collection.
