The Hasty Pudding Club was founded on September 1, 1795, by Horace Binney (then aged 15) and is the oldest collegiate social club in America. It was established.with the idea of bringing undergraduates together in friendship, conversation, and camaraderie. A Hasty Pudding is a form of porridge made with 'Indian' corn and two members had to provide a pot for each meeting. The medal's recipient was possibly Ezra P. Mills, born 1864, in Massachusetts.
