CHINA. Zhongbao. Provincial Mid-Sized Ingot. Silver 10 Tael Ingot, ND. EXTREMELY FINE.
Weight: 362.65 gms. Added stamp right: "Min guo jia zi nian" (The jia-zi [1924] year of the Republic), Added stamp left: "Lin sheng guan yin ju" (Linsheng official silver bureau). This handsome and interesting example displays two face stamps that were added at a later time, not contemporaneously to the time of manufacture. The stamps are deeply applied with oddly shaped calligraphy for the supposed time of manufacture adding another layer of interest. Though the ingot itself is legitimate, the added stamps are of a spurious nature added at a much later time. This neat academic study item is great for the scholarly numismatist looking to add depth to their collection. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
Estimate: $300.00- $400.00
