The flight, postponed from 1788, actually took place on 10 May, 1789, flying from Warsaw to Bialoleka. He took with him, as passengers, Count Jan Potocki and his Turkish butler Abrahim. His early parachute demonstrations were conducted with a dog however, when in 1793, his balloon ruptured he used a parachute to escape.
