ARAB-SASANIAN-HEPHTALITE; Talha ibn Abdalluh. Æ Unit (1.74 gm; 25 mm). obverse; Sasanian bust to the right with name in front of the face, Hephtalite writings on the outer margin. Reverse; Fire altar and attendants, mint: SK, year; not visible due to corrosion. Typically these issues have the date of 64-66 AH. It is not clear if there are Hephtalites lettrs on the reverse given the deteriorated state of metal. Well struck on a nice broad medallic flan. Original find patina. Choice Very Fine / about Very Fine. Extremely rare.
