Roman Empire, Probus, Antoninian Siscia - very rare

Very rare and desirable reverse type with the classic roman theme depicting she-wolf feeding Romulus and Remus. Alfoldi describes 4 variants of this reverse type depending on the position of the she-wolf (left or right) and the position of she-wolf's head (turning right or left).

This particular variant is unpublished (unlisted both in RIC and Alfoldi) and apparently only the second known (the first example being in C. Oliva collection).

Bardzo rzadki i pouszkiwany rewers z klasycznym motywem rzymskim przedstawiającym wilczycę karmiącą Romulusa i Remusa. Alfoldi opisuje 4 warianty tego rewersu w zależności od pozycji wilczycy (w lewo lub prawo) oraz pozycji głowy wilczycy (zwróconej w prawo lub w lewo).

Ten konkretny wariant jest niepublikowany (nienotowany zarówno w RIC jak i przez Alfoldiego) i jest to zaledwie drugi znany egzemplarz (pierwszy egzemplarz znajduje się w kolekcji C. Oliva).
