Constans as Caesar. AE 3, Reduced Follis; Constans as Caesar; 333-337 AD, Heraclea, 333-6 AD, Reduced Follis, 2.41g. RIC-141, officina E=5 (r4). Obv: FL I CONSTANS NOB CAES Bust laureate, cuirassed l., seen from front. Rx: GLOR - IA EXERC - ITVS Two soldiers standing holding spears and shields, one standard between them, SMHE* in exergue. Unusual obverse legend beginning FL I, used only at Heraclea, on five reduced folles all rated R4 or R5: see RIC p. 31 and Heraclea 141 (our coin) and 154. RIC calls the bust type draped and cuirassed, probably meaning the same rather unusual cuirassed only type with broad shoulder strap that our example shows.. MS
