Commemorates the games that Septimius gave in mid 197 prior to his departure on his second Parthian expedition, according to the Historia Augusta. Though fairly common on denarii, this reverse type is rare on sestertii: only 22 specimens, nine with IMP VIII, nine with IMP VIIII, and four with IMP X, coming from a total of five reverse dies, were included in C.
