Obv: Slow quadriga driven r. by bearded charioteer, above Nike flying r. to crown horses. Rx: SVR - A - KOS - IO - N Head of Arethusa r., wearing pearl headband and pearl necklace, hair tucked up behind headband, four dolphins and legend around. Ex Roma 5, 23 March 2013, lot 103 which realized for $7010 plus buyer's fees ("Ex Comery Collection"). With NGC tag 3598769-002, removed from capsule, graded "AU*, Strike: 5/5, Surface: 5/5, Fine Style".This is a beautifully centered extremely well struck scarcer example of the earliest Syracusian type with Athena surrounded by the dolphins. Extremely hard to duplicate all of the wonderful aspects of this coin. EF
