KINGS of MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes. 306-283 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 17.04 g, 12h). Tarsos mint. Struck circa 298-295 BC. Nike, blowing trumpet and holding stylis, standing left on prow of galley left / Poseidon Pelagaios standing left, preparing to throw trident; monogram to left and right. Cf. Newell 33 (stater with same control marks); Seleucus I Hoard 1037–41. Lightly toned, a few surface marks. VF.
