Kingdom of Syria, Antiochos IV (175-164 BC), Silver Tetradrachm, mint of Antioch on the Orontes, struck 168-164 BC, diademed head right, rev BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIOXOY / ΘEOY EΠIΦANOYΣ, NIKHΦOPOY (in exergue), Zeus enthroned left, holding Nike who crowns inscription, and sceptre, monogram (not visible) on left, 16.13g, 12h (SC 1400; SMA 72). A few marks beneath toning, broad flan, nearly extremely fine, attractive style.
