Kingdom of Syria, Antiochos VIII (138-129 BC), Silver Tetradrachm, mint of Askalon, struck 115/4 BC, diademed and draped bust right, rev BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTI[OXOY], eagle standing left on thunderbolt, palm over shoulder, AΣ above dove on left, monogram below, monogram between eagle's legs, date (SE 198) on right, 12.61g, 12h (SC 2339.6a, this coin). Some porosity, uneven toning, very fine and very rare and perhaps the only recorded example.
