Burundi Banque de la Republique du Burundi 1000 Francs 1965 (ND 1966) Pick 19 PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ. In 1966, the Bank of the Republic of Burundi was founded. Unused older stock were overprinted and issued until new stocks of banknotes arrived from the printer. The 1000 Francs was the highest denomination of the series, and very few were issued. This example, in original Uncirculated grade, is a famed rarity for the entire continent.
