An almost fully completed example of this first series from East Africa, this issue is denominated in Rupees. Repeating pattern watermarks and a colored security protector are seen, along with all zero serial numbers. The issued example eventually used a golden yellow color for the security protector. Heavy embossing of the intaglio features are seen. Previous mounting on the left is noted.
