East Africa East African Currency Board 10,000 Shillings = 500 Pounds 15.12.1921 Pick 19s Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. Ultra-high denomination obsolete notes are extremely rare due to their low print totals and enormous buying power. At the time of cataloging, only one Specimen and four issued currency notes have been graded in The PMG Population Report. Blue color schemes are present on these enormously valuable notes, which were mostly used by interbank transfers. However, the public did have access to these notes if the situation permitted, and evidenced by Currency Board memos discussing the redemption of these notes in the 1960s. This note is almost fully issued, save for a perforated cancellation, printer notations, and stamps.
