Spain Banco de Espana 100 Escudos 1.1.1866 Pick UNL Remainder PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 Net. This handsome and very rare 100 Escudos is a higher denomination in this short series. Curiously, the Bank of Spain issued a plethora of banknote series from 1856 to 1873, with all being withdrawn by the inception of the First Republic. As such, any surviving note from this era is extremely scarce. Some foreign substance and a internal tear are mentioned, along with a toned bottom margin.
