Spain Banco de Espana 100 Pesetas 1.7.1884 Pick 31 PMG Extremely Fine 40. Spanish politician Alejandro Mon y Menendez is portrayed on the front on this scarce banknote from the 1884 series. Although dated 1884, this denomination was not issued until 1887. A new 100 Pesetas note, with a completely different design, was issued in 1889, explaining why the 1887 notes are so rare today.
