Spain Banco de Espana 1000 Pesetas 1.5.1895 Pick 45 PMG Choice Very Fine 35 Net. Pleasing designs are seen on both sides of this large format, highest denomination note from 1895. Count Francois Cabarrus is seen at front, and King Carlos III's portrait is on the back. Lightly circulated paper adds to the visual appeal. The wide counterfoil at left has a watermark "1000" inserted vertically. Most of these notes were redeemed a century ago, leaving few extant. This beautiful high denomination rarity is worthy of consideration.
