Anv: Head of Carlos IV with the necklace of the Holy Spirit, around legend: TO CARLOS IV, KING OF SPAIN AND OF THE INDIES. Rev: Horned oval shield over an imperial eagle which holds a bow, a quiver with arrows and a sacrificial knife, inside a bridge defended by a castle supported by two lions on both sides, surrounded by ten nopal leaves, around the legend: IN ITS EXALTATION TO THE THRONE THE CITY OF MEXICO, in exergue: DECEMBER 27 / 1789. AU. Tapping on the edge. Light iridescent patina. Beautiful and rare specimen.
