Charles on horseback left, holding sword and reins; W below / RELIG : PROT :/ LE : ANG : LIB : PA in two lines between parallel lines; three plumes above; 1644 below. Bull 666/1; Brooker 1139 (same rev. die); North 2598; SCBC 3093. Toned, some weakness, slight porosity. Good Fine. Very rare – Bull notes only eleven specimens.

The reverse die used to strike this coin has the date recut from 1643, when it was in use at Bristol.
