Imperial crown, date above, emblematic wreath surrounding of roses, shamrocks and thistles, small K.G. to right of lowest rose for engraver Kruger Gray, denomination in words at bottom, Latin legend surrounding, .FID. .DEF. .IND. .IMP., 28.27g (Bull 3649; ESC 381; Davies 1638; S.4036). Toned with some light nicks on obverse, a bold very fine, reverse almost extremely fine.
Mintage only 2,473 pieces.
The wreath crown for 1936 was struck for Christmas time as per the custom of previous years and was therefore struck in the short reign of King Edward VIII.
