The Rymer Collection | James I (1603-1625), Second Coinage, Unite, 1607-1609, Tower, fourth half-length crowned and armoured bust right, holding orb and sceptre, rev. crowned shield, dividing I-R, 9.96g, 4h, m.m. coronet (Schneider II, -; North 2084; Spink 2619), a hint of doubling to legends and a tiny flaw below ear, otherwise handsomely struck up, truly exceptional for type, a really pleasingly good very fine, the central die engraver's guide points still prominent on the King's ruff.
