Pedro II 20 Reis ND (1700-1702)-(P) XF40 NGC, Pernambuco mint, KM85.2, LMB-138, Bentes-96.05. A highly elusive denomination, noted in Livro Das Moedas Do Brasil to have been produced between 1700 and 1702. This is only the second example of this rare issue that we have sold, the last occurring in our January 2011 #3012 Signature Auction (Lot 23149) and selling for a total of $4,600, including Buyer's Premium.
