Pedro II 40 Reis ND (1700-1702)-(P) XF40 NGC, Pernambuco mint, KM86.2, LMB-139. A modestly circulated representative, struck at the Pernambuco mint. The offering exhibits balanced steel tone over its surfaces, with only subtle traces of lightening at the higher points. Though attributed to 1695-1698 on NGC's holder insert, both the Standard Catalog of World Coins and Livro Das Moedas Do Brasil attribute the issue to 1700-1702.
