Jose I 600 Reis 1758-B XF (Altered Surfaces), Bahia mint, KM179, LMB-227. 17.18gm. A later date in the series, more often found counterstamped during João's revaluation of 1809. Though quite harshly tooled on the obverse, the piece generally shows rather light wear, which keeps from blending the finer elements of the design together.
