ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 510/500-480 BC. AR tetradrachm (25mm, 17.38 gm, 3h). NGC Choice VF★ 5/5 - 3/5. Pre-Persian Class. Head of Athena right, hair in waved loops along brow line, wearing crested Attic helmet, single spiral on bowl, the crest base decorated with short, spikey hairs / AΘΕ, owl standing right with closed wings, head facing; olive sprig with four leaves and three berries behind, all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1588 (ca. 525-515 BC). Seltman Group H. Perfectly centered on both sides. An exceptional example of this early issue.
