Great Britain
George III gold Sovereign 1817 MS63 PCGS, KM674, S-3785, Marsh-1. The inaugural date not only for George III's sovereign coinage, but for the famous British denomination in general, making it one heavily targeted by collectors of the series. What is even more notable, however, is the coin's outstanding preservation--soundly choice for a type where well over 50% of the certified population ranks far below this level. Soundly satin with few serious instances of handling, only some light contact at George's neckline likely precludes a finer grade.
