Philip V gold Cob 8 Escudos 1710 L-H MS61 NGC, Lima mint, KM38.2, Cal-2117 (prev. Cal-21). 27gm. Bright and lustrous, with clearly rendered central detail and a dramatically offset (though not atypically so) reverse strike that still leaves all but the end of a single arm of the cross fully within the confines of the flan. Gleaming mint brilliance decorates the surfaces, the overall eye appeal excellent for the assigned grade, given the total lack of any easily discernible instances of handling.
