Germany
Weimar Republic nickel Pattern "Oak Tree" 5 Mark 1932-A MS62 NGC, Berlin mint, KM-Pn353a, Schaaf-331/M10. Plain edge. A quite rare off-metal "probe" of the ever-popular Oak Tree design, and only the second such example we have ever offered. For his part, Schaaf only noted a single example, which was in far inferior condition. Although the cited Standard Catalog of World Coins Pattern number states that it refers to the design of KM56 (the Goethe 3 Mark), this appears to us likely a typo for the type of KM76.
