France. AE jeton (24.9 mm, 3.41 g). Probably from Nuremberg . Ca. 1385-1413/22. + AVE MARIA o ; E(N?)AEIA (rosette) PH , concentric legend, in two "words"; second word seems to be random letters, perhaps an acronym of a biblical passage: cross potent at top and annulet at bottom for stops; around solid inner border containing large French crown with three rosettes across band / Floral cross; limbs with an annulets at inner and lis at outer ends; design of dots and chevron in inner spansules, all within quatralobe with varying symbols in outer spansules . Mitch 468. XF, better struck than most Nuremberg jetons; brownish-green patina.
