A large Nicoya fragment from Costa Rica, ca. 1000 - 1500 A.D. This fine Papagayo type is 5? long and depicts and anthropomorphized jaguar head, with prominent fangs protruding from the open mouth. Nice paint remnants, mounted on stand.
