A choice Valdivia ?Venus? bust from Ecuador, ca. 3500 - 1500 B.C. This beautiful Phase VI example is 2-1/2? high and depicts a female with her arms crossed under her breasts. She has the characteristic coif surrounding her face and extending down her back. It is delicately incised and shows good mineral deposits. Mounted.
