A choice Maya cylinder from the Motagua Valley of Guatemala, ca. 400 - 700 A.D. This elaborately carved orangeware vessel is 5-1/2? high, 6-1/4? in diameter and is decorated with two stylized pin-wheel designs surrounded by a variety of glyphic symbols. In perfect condition, with strong mineral encrustation.
