Late Roman or Byzantine. Ca. 4th-6th centuries A.D.. Gold pendant (25mm, 1.88g). A large repousse male bust, probably imperial, head in high relief. Small bezel set with a garnet, perhaps meant to represent a halo above head, the sleeve for a chain behind.
