A pair of discoid stamp seals, Bactria/Margiana, ca. 1500 - 1000 B.C. ., the first featuring drill-style coiled serpents on either side; drilled lengthwise for suspension. Dia: 1.28 cm. Light deposits and cut from an attractive material, the second with horizontal hole for suspension. The designs are created by linear aligned drilling, one side with a serpent the opposing side with an antelope with symbol or bird above. 13 x 7mm. Light deposits. Both are ex California Museum of Art De-Accession, acquired 1989.
